At Perforce, we’re all abuzz about Swarm, our new code review and collaboration tool
designed to help teams deliver better products faster. Swarm is a powerful platform
that enables developers to have productive conversations around code changes,
share creative ideas, and help fix bugs quickly.

Review, Merge and Promote Your Code
Swarm offers an extensible view into the flow of change in your project—accross code,
documents and assets. It lets you easily review and discuss work as it happens. As you
make the transition to faster Agile workflows or even Continuous Delivery, Swarm helps
you stay on top of rapid code-review-merge cycles.

With Swarm, you can:
  • Quickly start a code review from the activity stream or by using the tools
you already have available in your version management toolset
  • Conduct the review with a slick comparison tool featuring inline
    comments and conversations
  • Consult the review dashboard to see what else needs to be done.
Finish a review by accepting and even merging the change.
Simple, Social, and Self-Contained
Swarm is a simple, self-contained web application that you can deploy everywhere.
It keeps you in the loop with activity streams, project dashboards, notifications, and
a rich repository browser. And it keeps all of its data, including review requests and
comments, in the shared Perforce service. That means it doesn’t require a separate
relational database and you’re already running the Perforce backups that will keep
your Swarm information safe.
