I'd like to find out if anyone knows a way to handle merging OneNote notebooks instead of handling them as binary files with exclusive checkout rights.  Does a merge tool exist for this file type (.one)?

Not that I've seen. It would be interesting to see what their file format is like; if it follows the general structure of the other Office formats it would possible for us to add support to the Commons doc merge engine.

Well, this is all I've found, but I don't speak this language.  Maybe someone with you can read between the lines.

It's Greek to me, but the fact that it is XML promising; the various Office file formats are as well, so there may be some commonality. I'll file a request to support OneNote files. No clue when or if it will happen, but it does sound very useful!
