Is there any easy and convenient way to find out all the unversioned (private) files in a client view? Something similar to Rational ClearCase lsprivate command ?

'p4 status' will do that for you. Use 'p4 status -A' to have Perforce then add, edit, and delete as appropriate.

Ouch! Yes, p4 status needs a 2012.1 server.
