I came across a problem where I needed to delete a task stream because it was no longer in use, but the task stream could not be deleted because a few clients were associated with it.

My question is, how do you query, from the command line, the perforce server so you can get a listing of client names that are currently using a particular stream.

Thanks!

You can use the command:

p4 clients -S <streamname>

to list client workspaces associated with the specified stream.

EXAMPLE

$ p4 clients -S //gwt-streams/release2.0
Client Joe_Coder_gwt-streams 2011/11/08 root C:\P4DemoWorkspaces\Joe_Coder_gwt-streams 'Created by Joe_Coder. '
Client John_Wakeman_gwt-streams 2011/11/08 root C:\P4DemoWorkspaces\John_Wakeman_gwt-streams 'Created by John_Wakeman. '
