Logging information about sent email

Is there a way to log information about email that Swarm sends?

We've had a couple of instances where the create review email did not get received by everyone that I expected it to and I'd like to get an idea if it is Swarm that's the problem or Exchange/Outlook.

Hi Brian,

Swarm logs only errors (if no/invalid email templates are specified and if sending the email throws an exception) and a list of recipients if 'recipient' is set in mail config. So one way to track the problem down would be to merge

    'mail' => array(
        'recipients' => array('test-email@domain.com')

into your config.php (replace 'test-email@domain.com' with some email address you have access to). Swarm will then send email to 'test-email@domain.com' instead of the computed list of recipients it would otherwise do. This list of recipients is however logged with priority 7 (debug). Check the log and look for 'Mail recipients: ' (you need to set log priority to 7 in your config.php).

It may, or may not, be what you are experiencing, but we have a number of people that find Outlook will sometimes filter Swarm email to the "Junk E-mail" folder. Since we have an organization-wide anti-spam solution we recommend our users turn off junk email filtering.
