Hi,
We just decided to try Perforce instead of SVN here at Friend&Foe games. Once installed one of the programmers immediately complained about how long it takes to find modified local files with the reconcile function. This is vital since he's running scripts that changes several other scripts in different location and need to find and submit them. If he misses a file, the whole project could come to a stand still.

Is there a way to filter recently modified files quick and easy using the P4V interface? We don't want to do a dif or reconcile since it's really slow and we only want to look for modified files in the local workspace.

Thanks!

Hi Thomas,

There are some optimizations that could help P4V performance:  http://answers.perfo...&fs=Search&pn=1

Perhaps ensuring that the client workspace mapping is very tight, meaning it only maps what is needed to do the reconcile, may help with the reconcile performance.
