Do we have something like maxclient similar to minclient?

Hi Frederic,

Sorry to hear you also ran into this issue. Since only 2011.1+ servers work
properly with those later P4V versions, the work-around is to use a lower
version of P4V such as 2014.1, which can be retrieved from our ftp.perforce.com
site:

    ftp://ftp.perforce.com/perforce/r14.1/
[ftp://ftp.perforce.com/perforce/r14.1/]

When the fix is released, you can always look at the P4V release notes for it:

     http://www.perforce....er/p4vnotes.txt

Going forward after the fix is released, it is likely that newer P4V/P4Admin
will not even start on 2010.2 and older servers.

Hi P4Shimada,

I have the same issue and upgrade the server is not an option.
Now I'm trying to secure r14.1 p4vinst64.exe, but it is not at ftp://ftp.perforce.com/perforce/r14.1/bin.ntx64/ at all.
Could you please upload the file back to the ftp server?
Thanks a lot!

Hi

Unsupported versions of our software are no longer publicly available for download.

That doesn't seem good. On the (admittedly rare but not unheard of) occasion that, as a configuration manager, I've had to recreate a toolchain for legacy code on an unsupported platform (Solaris, Cygwin, BSD, etc.), it was nice to have that resource. If this kind of thing comes up again do we just request unsupported versions one-by-one?

I'm not sure 'unsupported' in this case should equal 'unavailable'.

Please~~~
My company is not going to upgrade the server any time soon.
I really need a client that functions OK.
We are not asking you guys to maintain the older version or anything.
I think my request is reasonable and simple to meet.
Or could you provide me an alternative solution without upgrading the server?
Thanks a lot!

I know you guys have your concerns, but could you just make at least the latest stable version of p4v that is compatible with older server available to download? I don't think I'll be the last person who asks for it.
