I was wondering if there is a way to clean up the connection drop down?  I have a pretty big list of temp servers that I no longer connect to, and I would like to reduce that list to the active servers I use.

If there isn't an easy way, consider this a feature request.

Thanks!

I'll log a feature request for that, but in the meantime, you can edit the settings file by hand. You can find that here:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Perforce\P4VS\LocalSettings.ini

Look for blocks of:

<RecentConnections type="Perforce.P4VS.ConnectionData">
            <ServerPort type="string">perforce:1666</ServerPort>
            <UserName type="string">user</UserName>
            <Workspace type="string">workspace</Workspace>
</RecentConnections>

and remove the connections you do not want in the MRU list.

Was this feature ever added or is editing the ini file still the recommended action?

It was never added, but is currently being evaluated for the next release.
