Our project members are assigning specific users to reviews via the @mentions.  Therefore, we'd like to be able to turn off the notifications for project members that are not mentioned for a specific issue/job.  Is there an easy way to do this?  Otherwise, project members are getting inundated with email to which they shouldn't need to receive or reply.

The following has made it in for this release: (coming soon, currently feature complete)

Quote

Added options to disable sending emails to all project members for
commits and new review requests. The project edit page now has two
checkboxes that can control project notification emails.

Are those the emails you mean, or were you meaning something else?

That's exactly what we want.  Thanks.  When is the next release scheduled?

We are currently bug hunting, but it is planned for this month. It's the 2014.4 release :D

Is this a project specific feature or can it be turned on/off by the user? We have some users that want to see every single review and others that don't want to see any, unless they are specifically mentioned.

Thanks. Is there any plan on improving email control at a user level?

As an administrator, I'm not part of the day-to-day review activities, so I don't want an email for every single review that gets created. In order to prevent a flood of email, I am not a member of the project, just an owner. This keeps my inbox at a reasonable level, Unfortunately, because I am not a member (but, just an owner), I can't manipulate everything I need to in the reviews. My current work around is to add myself as a member, manipulate the review, then remove myself again. I would really like an easier way that doesn't involve my inbox filling up.

We are planning to continue to improve email volume. As this is probably one of the most common complaints we get. Jobs for user level controls are already in the system, but the team is more focused on what sort of improvements need to be made our mail module to support making intelligent decisions about email.

Thanks for the update. Email volume is one of the most common complaints I get about Swarm too.  :D
