Ditto on the above with the latest version, GA.5.R.13814 from Swarm.

Any news on when we can expect a fix for this?

I'm really curious why it's been taking so long for p4connect to be developed given how large Perforce is and how many studios use Unity 5. I appreciate Norman's work on this, but it seems like Perforce isn't taking the Unity plugin seriously compared to their UE4 integration; there are so many bugs with the latest version that it's not in a productively useful state.

I have to second that. We are unable to use the P4Connect plugin at all. When I import the package now via the asset store I get all of these exceptions:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file "C:\Develop\Kweetet-Dev\ZeGame5\Assets\P4Connect\Editor\P4Connect.dll.mdb"
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file "C:\Develop\Kweetet-Dev\ZeGame5\Assets\P4Connect\Editor\P4ConnectTest.dll.mdb".
Loading script assembly "Assets/P4Connect/Editor/P4Connect.dll" failed!
TypeLoadException: A type load exception has occurred. (multiple)

Can we expect a solution soon or is it better to look for other options?

if you select a directory with ~5000 files and ~200 subdir on Project tab unity will crash (but not if p4Connect is disabled)
And another annoying thing is the p4Connect Debug logs is not necessary any of them
