We have multiple depots separately per a project, however currently we are facing needs to work for common issues or in gray areas. As you know it is hard and painful that working with several connections.

So, can I merge multiple server in safe without losing its history?

Assuming you're meaning physical servers with different P4PORTS, one tackt to take wolud be to ensure all your servers are up to date as far as version of P4D, then use DVCS to clone your repos and push them to a common server. I'm doing this now with some suddenly visible legacy servers and it's working out pretty well.

We generally import code into an //import/... depot, then add a subdirectory of the server name, then the depots. Keep that in read-only mode then branch them out to other areas if needed. This keeps your imports isolated, and it's easy to find them all in one place when someone doesn't know exactly which old server they're looking for.

Sounds great. Does the pushing keep history well?

Yep!

I'm a big advocate of using DVCS instead of perfmerge, it work great for this purpose.

You can definitely merge servers as Matt mentioned. Here is a Knowledge Base article on the other Perfmerge option:

See the Perforce Admin Guide for more details on clone and push:
