I'm using imports and streams for a component-based development workflow. Recently I ran into an issue where I modified the directory structure of common code which required a change to the import path for projects importing it. I updated the project I was working on, but accidentally broke a separate project that was also using the common component.

Is there any way to determine where a particular stream is being imported to determine the potential impact of modifications?

I would appreciate an answer to this question too. Is there some built-in mechanism to do this or are we needed to write some kind of a script that would do the job for us by looking at stream configuration?

There is not yet a command like "p4 streams -e Paths=//depot/import/path", so you'll need to script it -- you'll want to iterate over all the streams and grep the Paths field for the depot path you're importing.
