I'm hoping somebody can straighten me more efficiently than my search has gone.  I want references to changelist numbers in my change list descriptions to turn into links to view that change list, much like if you look at a file's history it provides a link to the changelist that created the revision you've selected.  tmp2.png

I see references to this (question 2: https://forums.perfo...ngelist-in-p4v/ and for swarms https://forums.perfo...n-descriptions/), but this doesn't seem to work on our implementation.   (I tried 15.1 and 15.2 and am now on 17.3 on windows 10.)

I would expect it to work when viewing a pending changelist, too, but to be safe I checked in descriptions with "Change 12345" and "Changelist 12345" but they are just treated as standard text. tmp.png

What's the secret sauce here?  A setting to change?  What's on the list of tokens that trigger this?

Thanks!

You can set up Swarm or P4Web to create links to a web server client that can point to a changelist.
See http://answers.perfo...articles/KB/126
P4Web is available at https://swarm.worksh...-software-p4web

The first link might not lead where you expected; a generic KB search page?
Are you saying P4V doesn't support this functionality in any form?

The first link is "Setup Helix Swarm as a web directory browser like P4Web" http://answers.perfo...ticles/KB/12679
Thanks for letting me know.  I changed the link.

P4V does not support this functionality out of the box.  In P4V, you would have to create a Custom Tool
https://www.perforce...0tools|_____0or a P4V or P4Admin javascript web page
