My hard drive ran out of space. I am trying to tell perforce to delete some local folders, but perforce does not delete them.

>p4 sync -f   //clientname/sw/rel/...#none
//clientname/sw/rel/...#none - file(s) up-to-date.

It does not remove files under rel folder. Why?

Thanks

Perhaps the files are not under Perforce control.  Run

p4 have ...

If Perforce thinks you have no files, then you can move away the files or if not needed, erase the files under the folder.

Running "p4 clean" will automatically remove any files from your workspace that aren't under Perforce control, and otherwise make sure that your workspace contents match what you have synced (which in this case sounds like #none).

Note that files that are currently open are protected from "sync" and "clean" commands -- if you have pending changes you'll want to either submit or revert them.

It is also possible that the files are still open for edit, check 'p4 opened' against your workspace. This is a common mistake if you run 'p4 sync #0' or 'p4 clean' from the command line.

Cheers,
