OK, I know that this has been discussed from time to time.  However, I can't find any discussion since 2012!

We've been using Perforce for a few years & and have written several Python scripts to implement our DO-178B/C requirements, but surely there are NEW & more user convenient ways to alter P4V's behavior.

We currently use a java script to disable the default 'submit' so the user must use our submit script (revision history in the file).

We don't use any server side triggers at this time!

Custom tools are still available to create a P4V menu entry, but users must click on that menu.  Client side triggers are still on the table and our development is considering implementing them.  But there are security considerations that need to be addressed, and we also need to figure out how clients will be forced to use client side triggers.
