Hi all - I've gotten as far as installing GCC/G++ 6 and Jam on AIX 7.1, however when I do 'jam p4', it says "Don't know AIX."

I realize many people think AIX may be dead by I assure you it is not. :) I would like some guidance on how to compile the P4 command line client for AIX, assuming it is possible.

Thanks!

Martin

Hi Martin,

The Jamrules file includes build configuration for AIX53 on PPC64, so I'd recommend starting there. Are you running on POWER7 hardware?

Try running `jam -sOSVER=53 p4` and let us know what output you get.

If this works, I'd expect that you'll get an error about OpenSSL headers not being found, but we'll cross that bridge when you get to it.

Thanks,

Nick
