P4V spits out lots of "Slashes (/) not allowed in 'workspace//depot/stream'." warnings

As a new Perforce user, I ended up with a bunch of pending changelists which are empty if opened using P4V. However any attempt to access information (right-click) or expand a changelist in P4V results in this warning message: Slashes (/) not allowed in 'workspace//depot/stream'.

At this point, I'd like to delete those changelists, however P4V prevents me from doing this: when right-clicked, the warning dialog is displayed (btw checking "Ignore additional errors for this command" doesn't help suppressing the dialog) and after closing the dialog, right click doesn't work anymore and I can't select menu to delete the changelist.

Looking for any advice on how to clean up this mess.

This looks like something funny is going in p4v. Did you try to restart it or delete the .p4qt folder (See the location of the folder here: https://community.pe.../s/article/2911)

What happens if you try to delete changes from the command line (p4 change -d -c NNNN)?

Trying commands:

```
$ p4 change -d -c 11
Usage: change [ -d -i -o -s -t<type> -U<user>] [ -f | -u ] [ [ -O | -I ] changelist# ]
Invalid option: -c.
$ p4 change -d  11
Change 11 belongs to client ptnbook-pro//game/main.
```

As of `.p4qt` folder, I can't find it here:

```
Sorry, no -c in the "p4 change" command. "p4 change -d NNN". I got confused with "p4 shelve".
Regarding p4qt, remove (or rename to something) ~/Library/Preferences/com.perforce.p4v/ to try a "fresh" start.
please see the reply above, where I tried without "-c" argument.
at this point I'm not willing to delete anything as I fear it may break what's working and we are in the middle of active development.
another, related, issue happened today - I had my changes in "default" changelist, work in progress not ready for submission, but needed to merge/integrate streams. so after integration was done I switched back to the stream I was working in and the default changelist was empty, all my changes are gone. I can't find them in "Pending" though there's one which I can't open due to the same errors described in the original post. I'm still hopeful it can be solved somehow and my changes brought back.
Rename the directory ~/Library/Preferences/com.perforce.p4v.  This affects the client and not the Helix server.  Then check if you still have the problems.  You can always rename the directory back again.
