User's Workspace not updating/hanging on updating

Hi, looking for some advice here with a user's issue on P4V client.
It was all working fine until yesterday, but now if he opens the client with a connection to a server it's correct but then opening a new connection (so two P4V windows open) the second Workspace just says updating for all folders.
If we close P4V entirely, and open the second workspace first, it opens perfectly but opening what was the first workspace in a second window results in the workspace folders "updating".

So, the first workspace we open works fine.
Any subsequent workspace (WS) doesn't update the folders and just sits there with "updating", and it's not specific to the connection/server - it appears to be a P4V issue.

(We tried also opening connection 1 - WS fine - open connection 2 - WS 2 stuck on updating, WS 1 fine - close connection 1 - re-open connection 1 - both WS stuck on updating. This would suggest that for some reason the P4V client is only working correctly on the WS of the first connection opened).

We have updated the client from an older (orange) version but neglected to check the version number, to version P4V/NTX64/2018.2/1666551, and it didn't make any difference.

Can anyone suggest a solution, please? Thanks!
