We have a use case where we use a generic workspace to sync without updating havelist.

We use sync -p which does what we need except for deleted files. It doesn't remove any files deleted in depot . They still show up in system.

Is there any command that doesnt update workspace havelist but still deletes the files deleted in depot.

Regards

Try "p4 sync -f -p"?  (Arguably "p4 sync -p" should just imply "-f" since that's usually what you want, but I don't think it actually does.)

It appears -f and -p don't work together . It didnt recognize the command.

O_o

So it isn't!  That's... silly.  I guess the only workaround is to rm -rf the whole tree before you "sync -p".
