Why doesn't "get latest revision" on a folder get the latest revision for ALL files in that folder's hierarchy?

As you can see, the console says "no files updated", while the tree clearly shows a red X for a locally removed file.

EDIT: Hmm... even selecting the file and chosing "get revision" apparently yields "no files updated". Why is that?

EDIT: This page says I need to do a "forced sync", but I can't find that option in any menu... can someone point out where it is in the P4V?

The "red X" means you have the file open for delete.  If you've decided you don't want to delete it, "Revert" it.

Syncing ("get" in P4V) specifically excludes open files to avoid irrevocably overwriting your work in process.  You always need to explicitly use the "revert" command to discard pending changes (or "submit" them to the depot) before you can sync to a new revision and clobber your local copy.

Your pending changelist(s) will show all of the files you have open.
