I've noticed that revert is *extremely* slow compared to sync. For example, if I delete a folder with a bunch of files, then reconcile it (marking them all for delete), then revert that, it is taking absolutely forever to re-download the files at about 4mbit/s... Meanwhile, if I force get the latest revision for the folder instead of doing that, it will download it at 250mbit/s (which is the limit of my internet connection). What's the issue with revert?

My guess is it doesn’t batch/parallelize the transfer the same way (especially if you’ve got any sort of distributed setup or if you’ve configured any special transfer settings that are particular to the sync command).  If you run the two commands with something like “-vnet=3” you can spy on the network messages and get an idea what the differences are.
