Hello,

I have written a custom tool in Python for P4V that appends metadata to the user's commit notes.  The user can activate it by the context menu when right-clicking on a changelist, via the tools menu and via a hotkey.  We also plan to setup a server trigger to check that the metadata exists.  Unfortunately the metadata must be generated on the individual's machine, not on the server.

It would be ideal if we could just disable the standard submit feature or route it through the custom tool.  Is this possible?  I have tried searching on the topic but any searches that contain "submit" and "trigger" take you to the server side triggers.

Thanks,
--Brad

Hi, keep an eye out for the next P4V release. It'll have a new feature called HTML Actions that might help in what you want to do.
