Hi,

I'm a brand new user to both perforce and linux. I have managed to set up a perforce server on a CentOS VM running on google cloud services and it has been working fine for the last couple of days.

Today I've been connected to it and using it with no issue, but randomly after no changes the connection failed and when I try to type p4 info in the linux machine all I get is:
Perforce client error:
Connect to server failed; check $P4PORT.
		connect: 127.0.0.1:1666: Connection refused

I'm just puzzled because no settings were changed, and it was working 5 minutes before the error occured. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Sounds like the server stopped running.  Maybe the machine rebooted and you don't have it configured to run p4d on startup?
