In Topic: Ldap authentication turned on Domain account keeps locking

19 June 2019 - 08:04 AM

Hi Matt Janulewicz,

Thanks for your reaction and answer. It turns out that this particular account was locked because our Continuous Integration Server which is connected to Perforce was connecting using his old credentials.
After using the correct credentials in the Continuous Integration Server the account didn't lock anymore.
I did not use your solution because the problem was solved in another way.

Hi dave.foglesong.

Thanks for the reaction and your answer. I forgot to tell you that we use Windows.
I was able to check all the p4.protect files myself. My problem is solved.

In Topic: Perforce LDAP integration

@everyone that reacted,

Thanks for all your replies.

We raised the server security level to 3 and are phasing out peforce authentication in batches of 50 perforce accounts a time.

There is one other thing that I would like to ask. Some of my colleagues (4 people) have a perforce accountname that is not equal to their domain account name.
The rights in the depots are set with p4 protects What command should I issue to change the perforce account names in p4 protects? After that I can finally change their authentication method.
(script or command).

In Topic: How to check for weak passwords

12 February 2019 - 03:16 PM

Hi Sambwise,

I apologize for the late reaction.

Yes, we are going to use LDAP. As I understand it, the server security level raise from * to 3 requires all Perforce users to have a strong password.

Your remark about the "strength" flag is something I can use.

Thanks.
